Most Western visitors, including Canadians, can get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival (USD 30 cash since March 2026) or apply for an e-visa beforehand. Air arrivals at Sharm El-Sheikh staying only in the South Sinai resorts for under 15 days get a free entry stamp.

    Arrivals at Cairo International Airport can pay for their visa on arrival by card through a portal, app or kiosk for USD 36 including a USD 6 service fee. Source

  2. Visa on arrival fee rises to USD 30

    The single-entry visa on arrival went from USD 25 to USD 30. Source

  3. Higher charges at Taba crossing

    Taba entry tax is now USD 20 for Taba-only stays and USD 120 for travel further into Sinai, plus a USD 30 visa and guarantee letter to go beyond Sinai. Source
